| Conventional incineration, Thermal Oxidizer (TOX) and Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer (RTO) units are inefficient at minimizing pollution. This occurs for a number of reasons:
AAI's VOC condenser operates efficiently using a combination of closed loop and sacrificial cryogenic working fluids to allow >99.9% equivalent destruction efficiency of VOCs and uses those VOCs in a variety of ways:
Any one of these options can improve your existing approach or eliminate VOCs from new operations. Is this the right solution for every VOC vapor waste stream? No. If you're looking to condense VOCs from a stream instead of treat the stream in a TOX or RTO, the comparable operating expenses depend mostly on the stream concentration. Compared to a conventional TOX, the AAI system will have superior operating costs if the waste air/N2 stream is >350 ppm VOCs. Compared to an RTO, the AAI system is more cost effective when the waste stream is >1400 ppm VOC. We're not interested in wasting your money. In some cases, the VOC condensing system is not the most cost effective option. But, in many industrial processes, it can add significant cost and environmental savings compared to conventional control technology.
